Christmas Tree Paper Chain

This is a classic for a Christmas tree. They have been around for decades.

You will need multi colored construction paper, scissors and glue

Cut the construction paper into strips- 1-3 inches in width.

Fold the strip and glue the edges of the first circle in the chain

Fold the next link through the center of the first link and glue it closed.

Repeat until the chain is the size you want.

It’s a very simple, yet potentially time consuming, project for children of all ages. You can use it for your banister, tree or any inside decorations.

Fast and easy Candy Cane Tree Ornaments

You can make these in bulk fast. They are extremely easy- simple enough a toddler can do and you can use these if you dont want to use actual candy canes on your tree.

You will need red and white pipe cleaners. That’s it, just a bunch of red and white pipe cleaners.

Twist the pipecleaners around each other, so they stripe then bend the top to form the head of the candy cane.

If you want slightly harder to make (if you’re teaching your child to braid), use 3 of any color combination and braid the pipe cleaners, then bend the head.

Baby food jar Spiders

You need black fabric, black pipe cleaners, black yarn, googly eyes and a hot glue gun

cut a piece of fabric to cover the jar

Wrap it around the jar and tie it with the yarn.

Tuck the edges in the bottom of the jar

Fold the pipe cleaners in half, insert them inside the jar and fold them like spider legs

Glue the eyes on and add any other decorations
